I woke up this morning in a crappy mood. I had a terrible Sunday (aside from visits from Mum and my cousin) and found myself tossing and turning between 10pm and midnight, which then turned into a scalding hot shower after midnight (this is my how to deal with crappy nights routine). I eventually fell asleep, ditched the gym this morning and left for work in the same crappy mood. To make matters worse, I didn’t have my ipod earphones with me.
Anyways, when I left my apartment this morning, I didn’t think anything would possibly cheer me up. I reached the sidewalk and suddenly, a smile appeared on my face. It was so gorgeous out this morning. Mini ice bits fell from the sky, looking like silver sparkles (or fairy dust as I referred to it) were covering the city. All of the snow around me was covered with little ice flakes, it looked like Swarovski had sprinkled their leftover inventory everywhere. It was quite a sight. It’s just a shame that it ended as soon as I got to Yonge St.
It was a simple little treasure that reminded me that my world is not crumbling. It also let me know that as much as I try to hide it, I will forever love sparkle.
